Agastache foeniculum, commonly called anise hyssop, is a North American native perennial with fragrant, anise-scented foliage and upright lavender-purple flower spikes. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the flowers throughout summer, making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens, sunny borders, and herb gardens.

Planting and Care

Plant in full sun for the strongest flowering. Water regularly while establishing, then allow the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid persistently wet soil. Deadheading can extend bloom, while leaving some flower heads provides seed for birds and possible seedlings.
