Common Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis) is a cheerful, carefree native wildflower that opens its bright yellow blooms in the evening, attracting moths, native bees, and other pollinators at a time when most flowers are closed. It adapts to a wide range of soil conditions, tolerates drought, and self-seeds freely when happy — a natural fit for meadow gardens, naturalized areas, and pollinator plantings.

Plants are biennial — first-year plants (2.5" pots) form a leafy rosette, while second-year plants (3.25" pots, fall/winter) are ready to bloom the following summer. Once established, Evening Primrose self-seeds reliably for a perennial effect.
